Our Credentials and BS25999
At Beeches Consulting we work with clients to embody the key principles as outlined by the British Standards Institute (BSI) in BS25999 and as followed using industry best practice. We have also been commended by the BSI when co-presenting with them at Business Continuity events for the alignment of our approach with the BS25999 standard.
In our experience there is no ‘one size fits all' approach to Business Continuity Planning. We don't promote software solutions and downloadable templates that claim a standardised approach to implementing Business Continuity as we can't stress enough the importance of undertaking adequate Risk Assessment and Business Impact Analysis at your organisation. This must be done by people with experience, both yours and ours, otherwise too often we find that significant effort has been wasted producing a Business Continuity Plan or focussing on point versus strategic IT recovery solutions which actually may not support you when you need to recover your business operations.
We can of course work with you in implementing standardised approaches to implementing Business Continuity within your organisation to manage costs once the initial ‘leg work' (analysis) and scope of Business Continuity has been identified.
Our Experience
We have a long list of clients that will provide reference to our Business Continuity credentials across all market sectors. Just one client example provides testimony in itself. Beeches Consulting implemented Business Continuity plans for a London hospital and when all power and the backup generators failed to supply the hospital's Intensive Care Unit, the plan we developed for them was invoked and everything went so smoothly that we were commended by the hospital's CEO for the fact that the management team did not panic as it knew exactly what to do.
